“Lupin III” aka “Lupin The 3rd,” one of the oldest anime franchises, is still very popular. Now, there is a new Lupin III anime series that will be rolling out in 2015. This will take Arsene Lupin the Third, the Japanese & French famous thief, takes his crew to San Marino which belongs to the country of Italy.
For that reason, the anime will air in Italy first before airing in Japan. Lupin once again works with Daisuke Jigen, Fujiko Mine, and Goemon. In addition, the crew continues to be chased down by Inspector Zenigata of Interpol. There is also another major change: the color of Lupin's coat.
Normally, Lupin is known by his red coat. He trades in the red coat for a blue coat. This is akin to a British Imperial soldier trading the red coat to join the American Colonial Army for a blue coat. Keep in mind that Lupin has changed the color of his coat a few times.
